Our 69-70 Mustang Sheet Metal Kit is designed make the integration of our 69/70 Mustang Chassis into your 69/70 Mustang as seamless as possible. While this sheet metal kit is not required to install our chassis, without it you are responsible for designing/making your own sheet metal unibody, which although allowing for your own customization, is a considerable amount of additional work that may or may not be feasible with the tools that you have access to.

This sheet metal kit includes a firewall, main floor pans, trunk floor pans, and inner wheel wells, all made from 18ga cold rolled steel. We cut these out via CNC waterjet and all bends are made with a CNC press brake. They are designed so that the installation process is as simple as putting it into position, clamping it into place, and making a row of rosette welds along each flange

The firewall extends side to side from the flange of one outer cowl panel to the other. It is made to fit right up against the upper cowl panel lip, and requires no cowl panel modifications. It does require a hole be cut into it for the steering column.

The inner wheel wells are designed to be clamped onto the flange of stock outer wheel wells and rosette welded along the flange. This means that you are not required to cut out and re-skin your quarter panels or separate the outer wheel well from the quarter panels, which are both very labor intensive tasks.

This kit is intended to be used with our 69/70 Mustang Pro Chassis, which has some customizable dimensions. Purchase of this kit without first purchasing the 69/70 Mustang Pro Chassis is strongly discouraged.
